The other day , I was surprised to get a 'hyper' critical comment about my matchbox tale and at first I was very upset. I thought about it and decided not to publish it. Yes, I know I should accept both good and bad criticism, but the more I read it the more I realised that who ever (they where 'anonymous') it was that posted the comment had wanted to hurt me rather than give constructive criticism (which I welcome)they obviously hadn't read my blog properly as they got a couple of significant facts wrong. Why do people do this ?
Anyway whoever you are you got your way in that you upset me but I think I'm over it now and will continue to write in my way as I choose. If you don't like it look elsewhere.

Good for you, the person was probably jealous - otherwise why be anonymous? Carry on writing just how you want to! From the comments I have seen people are enjoying your stories very much.
Well said. If people don't like what you say then they should even have the courage to say so politely and constructively or just read something else.
After all the matchbox tale was hardly controversial (I enjoyed it as it happens) and there was something to learn from it too.
Perhaps your detractor had a guilty conscience. In reality he/she was probably just a nasty person.
How very true--Know how you feel a lot of work time and effort and heart goes into these blogs. I am glad that you did not publish the comment -- it always seems they are anonymous -- and they don't READ-- or know how...
I posted a story for magpie-tales a fictional place for writers and poets.. with a large disclaimer at the top of the post it was Fiction and for fun.. a sweet story really, some other blogger took my banner domain name placed it in front of hers and used her domain name as the title of her post.. - calling me the other blogger? and referred to my story as true and a jumping off place for her to write or rewrite her story. I quess she couldn't read either? By using criticism they think it gives them some sort of right and power..Sorry that happened to you.

Cowards post comments anonymously! Who cares what they think. They haven't even the balls to be known.

Jan - go with your heart; I can see from your reply that you understand why this person did this. They have issues which are nothing to do with you - live your life and go the want you want to go.
No-one should stop you doing the things you love :)
You keep on writing your beautiful words and let the mean spirited cowards fester in their meanness.
Agree with all the above. Anyone who posts as anonymous should simply be disregarded.
But their comments still hurt...
Well good for you...don't let them keep you down :D
and yeah they probably were jealous (says me who has yet to read the story, must do that)
After reading the story, I fail to see what they could have found wrong with it. Great job :D
good for you...some people view words as weapons and only look for opportunity to make themselves feel better at others expense...
It says much for their mentality & motivation that they remained anonymous. Ignore them & carry on doing what you enjoy doing.... & writing what we enjoy reading. :0)
Stopping by to say Hi and hope you are having a loveley Easter weekend.
I was surprised when I once received a totally negative comment to a post. It took me a time to realise what a total prattish twerp the writer was. Such fools try to boost their own egos by criticising others. Ignore them, otherwise you give them encouragement. Nice posts, yours, by the way.
Well, for a start, you aren't alone in getting negative feedback, its one of the risks you take in posting anything creative.
Or just posting anything, period.
The reality is there are hurtful people out there who will find ways to hurt us, periodically.
I'm glad you aren't going to let them change you. They're not worth it.
